AWSELVA Summer Webinar

AWSELVA’s Summer webinar is open to all to attend. We attempt to provide a snapshot of current animal welfare issues in different regions across the globe. Those issues might be ethical issues in veterinary practice, new laws being put forward, cases of animal abuse, economically driven welfare issues, socially driven welfare issues, proposals for initiatives that could bring about better welfare, or a commentary on welfare in animal-care teaching.

We will have representatives from Europe, the Americas, Asia, Oceania and Africa presenting short commentaries on their experience of the present animal welfare situation. The speakers’ expertise encompasses veterinary medicine, animal science, animal welfare law, animal welfare at policy level and veterinary forensics.

In this informal event speakers will present their own perceptions of animal welfare issues in their regions, creating a mosaic of expert-informed  thought that will provide a window into animal welfare, relevant to anyone who works, lives with or cares for animals.
